Body and Sole Impact Assessment

An important aspect of the B&S charitable programme is its potential for evaluation - this because the Education Department gathers data on the hours of exercise undertaken by pupils in PE or in the Duke of Edinburgh programme. 

A preliminary meeting with Glasgow University researchers was organised by Late Deacon Professor Ewan Macdonald and ex Deacon Dr Iain Lennox , - to discuss how the impact of the charitable giving could be established.

It was agreed that the first step would be to track the number of students supplied with footwear, and the amount of activity generated. It is hoped that a public health Masters student can be deployed to undertake preliminary research on the programme.
