Deacon's Choosing Dinner 2019

Huge congratulations to Deacon Ewan MacDonald for an excellent Choosing Dinner last night.

Proper official photographs will follow but in the meantime here is the view from the piano.

The company was entertained by two excellent speakers - Judge Jessica Burns and Sir Harry Burns (no relation), piper Reece Lyons and tenor Connor James Smith.

Many thanks to all who attended, donated prizes, bought raffle-tickets and generally contributed  to a very successful evening whch raised a substantial amount for our "Body and Sole" initiative.

Among the guests were our opposite numbers from Dundee, Aberdeen, Irvine and Edinburgh, as well as the Master of the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers and the Master of the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers of London. As always we were delighted to welcome our friends from the Zunft zu Schumachern of Basel, led by the incoming Master and treasurer Herr Lukas Huber, attending his fifth of our Dinners.
